Hello!
I’m so glad you have found yourself taking a look at my website!
I’m Emily (call me Em)... the founder of Finding Equilibrium. I am a mindfulness trainer, hypnobirthing teacher, mental health advocate, and I have also spent the last 13 years working within Clinical Research.
When I look back over the years of my own personal development journey, there are two things that have been the most significant and impactful to my overall well-being and mental health; education and community... and the more I have learnt, the more I want to share with other lovely people like you!
My journey began in my late twenties when I decided to become a parent, a decision that was both exciting and terrifying. I had anxieties about being a parent and being responsible for the growing mind of another little person, and I was worried about the impact pregnancy and labour could have on my own mental health. Little by little I began to educate myself... I found a passion for studying attachment theory, and I embarked on my own personal mindfulness and hypnobirthing adventure.
Once I had submerged myself in this new world, I found that I didn't have anyone to really share my experience with; I was desperate to find and connect with others who valued similar things, or that had experienced and worked through similar anxieties, and that is where my search for community began.
Looking back to who I was 8 years ago, and the fears and insecurities I had, I wouldn't have believed you if you told me that this is what I would be doing today! I want to share everything that I have learnt with as many people as possible, giving others access to the education and community that were so life changing for me. And as a parent, I am also incredibly passionate about working with both other parents and education providers, to help nurture the developing minds of their children and students.
I hand on heart believe that my purpose is to help others on their own unique and personal well-being journey; to provide education across a range of fields, and to provide a safe space where people can share their experiences with others without the fear of judgement, and establish a like-minded community.
If you have any questions about the work that I do, then please do reach out and say hello. I look forward to meeting you soon!
Em x
