Hypnobirthing classes
We run regular mindful hypnobirthing classes that have been created to empower, inform, and bring women together as they begin their special journey into motherhood.
We provide a full antenatal KG Hypnobirthing course that is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM), and whether you are looking to attend something in person and meet other parents-to-be, or if you'd like to attend the course from the comfort of your own sofa, we have a class for everyone… let your mindful pregnancy journey start here!

What is hypnobirthing?
Hypnobirthing teaches women and their birth partners how to make a number of subtle changes to their daily routine, that will help them to feel calmer, more confident and looking forward to the birth of their baby. We live in a world where we are constantly exposed to negativity about giving birth; be it through dramatised television shows or other people’s horror stories, many of us have fears related to birth, even if we don’t know it.
The skills taught in hypnobirthing help you to release any fear or misconception that you may have regarding birth. Through the use of positive words, which you listen to when you are in a relaxed state (i.e. hypnosis), any fear or negativity you feel about the birth of your baby can be gradually replaced with calm confidence. Additionally, the scientific information that you are provided with and the breathing techniques that you are taught throughout this course, ensure that you not only understand how your body is made to work in labour, but that you know how to work with it, whatever kind of birth you have!
How is the KG Hypnobirthing course taught?
The 10 hour KG Hypnobirthing course is generally taught one session a week, over a 4 week period. You can choose to book either a group course or a private course, both of which are available in person or online. Course are available at any point in your pregnancy, however, most people tend to come at the 20-30 week mark. Shorter courses are also available for those a little later into their pregnancy, or those who have given birth before and want a refresher course.
Group courses are kept to a maximum of six couples and allow for discussion and sharing of experiences and concerns within the class. In-person group classes cost £225 per couple and include a copy of the KG Hypnobirthing book written by Katherine Graves, relaxation MP3’s to use at home, a course folder containing supporting material and of course ongoing support throughout your pregnancy and after. Online group courses cost £180 per couple, and also include all items listed above.
The private course is just that – private! This course will provide an opportunity for you and your birth partner to let me know specifically any worries or questions you have regarding the birth of your baby. Although the majority of the course content will remain the same as that used in the group class, I can of course tailor sections to your individual needs... parents that have given birth before find this particularly useful. Private classes cost £320 per couple and include a copy of the KG Hypnobirthing book written by Katherine Graves, relaxation MP3’s to use at home, a course folder containing supporting material and of course ongoing support throughout your pregnancy and after.

Throughout pregnancy and in labour birth partners can protect women from any negativity regarding birth, help them practice the breathing techniques to use in labour, they can ask questions from the care team, and they can learn and practice massage and other techniques to help relax women in pregnancy and during labour. As well as making sure birth partners feel comfortable supporting women throughout their pregnancy and birth, we want to make sure that all of their questions are of course answered too!
