Whether you are a parent of one or a parent of many, managing small people’s big emotions, endless to-do lists, all whilst being a chef, taxi service, and chief play buddy… parenting can feel overwhelming. This gentle course will help you show up with more calm, presence & compassion – both for yourself and your children. This course is for you if... * You’re constantly multitasking but still feel like you’re not doing “enough”. * You want to be more present in your life, both with your family and with yourself. * You’d like real tools to help regulate emotions, that can also be taught to your children. * It feels like these early years are going too fast, and you want to slow down and savour the present moment. * You’ve heard of mindfulness, but don’t know how to actually practice it in daily life. Becoming a parent is an incredibly exciting journey, but with the addition of a new family member or two, many parents find themselves making less time for themselves and their own well-being. This 90-minute workshop will help you do just that, teaching you simple, practical tools that bring mindfulness into your everyday family life. In this workshop you will Learn: * What mindfulness is and how it works * The benefits of mindfulness to your own and your family's well-being and nervous system * How to notice feelings within your body and what that feeling is telling you * How to apply simple mindfulness practices to be more present in your everyday life * Techniques to help you pause and regulate in high-stress parenting moments * How thoughts work, and how you can learn to notice your own thought patterns * How to use your breath to calm your nervous system – including breathing techniques for yourself and your children * The importance of language and how we speak to ourselves and our children * Quick and simple practices that can be incorporated into your family life to promote presence and connection Also included in this workshop: *A printable Mindful Parenting Journal Template, including reflective prompts * Self-Reflection Sheets to support the course content *Ideas for quick and simple mindfulness practices that you can use anywhere with your children Mindfulness is a skill.
